Job Description

  • Provide specialized nursing care to newborns (preterm, low birth weight, critical neonates).
  • Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, temperature, and incubator settings.
  • Administer neonatal medications and IV fluids with accurate dosage calculation.
  • Assist doctors during procedures (intubation, surfactant therapy, umbilical line insertion).
  • Handle neonatal ventilators, CPAP, phototherapy units, and infusion pumps.
  • Maintain strict infection control and aseptic techniques.
  • Record and maintain detailed neonatal nursing documentation.
  • Educate and counsel parents regarding newborn care and feeding.
