Established as Desh Bhagat Group of Institutes in 1972, the institution received the University status in 1996. Situated in Punjab's Fatehgarh Sahib District, Desh Bhagat University is a state private university established under Punjab Government Desh Bhagat University Act, 2012. The University also operates its campuses in Moga, Chandigarh, Shri Muktsar Sahib and Kenya.
