Job Description

1. Diagnose and treat diseases related to the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, and biliary system.
2. Conduct outpatient and inpatient consultations for GI disorders.
3. Perform endoscopic procedures such as upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and ERCP (if trained).
4. Manage conditions like liver disease, hepatitis, pancreatitis, IBS, IBD, GERD, and GI bleeding.
5. Interpret diagnostic investigations including endoscopy findings, imaging, and lab reports.
6. Handle emergency cases such as GI bleed and acute abdominal conditions.
7. Coordinate with surgeons, oncologists, and other specialists for multidisciplinary care.
8. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and NABH standards.
