Job Description
- Diagnose and manage disorders of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and muscles such as epilepsy, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and neuropathies.
- Conduct and interpret neurological examinations and diagnostic tests like EEG, EMG, NCV, and MRI/CT scans.
- Develop individualized treatment plans including medication management, lifestyle advice, and referrals for therapies.
- Provide acute care for neurological emergencies like seizures, stroke, and encephalitis.
- Collaborate with neurosurgeons, psychiatrists, rehabilitation specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and families about neurological conditions, prognosis, and long-term management.
- Maintain accurate and updated clinical records, prescriptions, and documentation of diagnostic findings.
