Job Description
- Provide specialized medical care to newborn infants, especially premature or critically ill babies.
- Manage neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) patients and monitor vital parameters.
- Diagnose and treat neonatal conditions such as respiratory distress, infections, and congenital disorders.
- Perform neonatal procedures including intubation, ventilation management, and resuscitation.
- Supervise and guide pediatric residents and NICU nursing staff.
- Counsel parents regarding newborn health, treatment plans, and prognosis.
- Ensure infection control and neonatal safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
