Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and highly skilled Medical Officer (MBBS / MD) to manage clinical care at our premier community health center in Vasai. The successful candidate will serve as the primary clinical authority at the location, delivering outpatient consultations, managing chronic lifestyle diseases, executing preventive health interventions, and ensuring an exceptional standard of evidence-based medical care.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

1. Clinical Care & Outpatient Management

  • Conduct daily Outpatient Department (OPD) consultations for acute illnesses, primary care infections, and seasonal ailments.
  • Diagnose and manage chronic health conditions including diabetes, hypertension, metabolic disorders, and cardiovascular risks.
  • Prescribe rational, cost-effective medications and diagnostic tests strictly in line with standardized clinical protocols.
  • Identify clinical red flags and stabilize acute emergency patients before coordinating seamless referrals to higher secondary care facilities.

2. Community Health & Preventive Care

  • Lead hyper-local community wellness screening camps, industrial diagnostic camps, and preventive health corporate drives.
  • Design and deliver basic patient education materials on nutrition, lifestyle modification, and preventive medicine.
  • Monitor local epidemiology trends near the Vasai cluster to proactively structure seasonal preventive healthcare campaigns.

3. Clinic Administration & Quality Compliance

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and highly confidential Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for every patient encounter.
  • Supervise the onsite paramedical staff, nursing personnel, and clinic helpdesk teams to maintain sterile, safe, and professional clinic workflows.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Clinical Establishments Act, bio-medical waste disposal rules, and other applicable local medical regulations.

Required Qualifications & Eligibility Criteria

  • Education: MBBS from an NMC/MCI recognized institution. Candidates with an MD or DNB in General Medicine, Family Medicine, or Community Medicine are highly preferred.
  • Mandatory Registration: Valid, active registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) is strictly required before the date of joining.
  • Language Fluency: Must be fluent in Hindi and Marathi to ensure clear, empathetic, and culturally appropriate communication with local patients.
  • Core Competencies: Empathetic patient listening, sharp clinical diagnostic capabilities, and comfort utilizing basic computer/tablet systems for digital prescription entries
