Description

  • Diagnose Diseases: Analyze clinical samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) to diagnose diseases and medical conditions. Perform microscopic examinations and use advanced lab techniques to detect abnormalities.
  • Interpret Laboratory Tests: Review and interpret results of clinical laboratory tests such as blood counts, cultures, chemistry profiles, and molecular diagnostics. Provide accurate diagnostic information to treating physicians.
  • Conduct Research: Perform and supervise research in areas of clinical pathology to develop new diagnostic techniques, improve existing methods, and discover disease markers.
  • Monitor Lab Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of clinical laboratories, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices.
  • Develop and Implement Laboratory Protocols: Establish protocols for laboratory testing, quality control, and safety to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability in lab results.
  • Collaborate with Medical Teams: Work closely with other physicians, specialists, and healthcare providers to correlate lab findings with clinical presentations and assist in patient management.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and precision of laboratory tests. Monitor equipment and testing procedures to comply with regulatory requirements.
