Job Description
- Perform surgical procedures related to gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases.
- Conduct laparoscopic and minimal invasive surgeries as per clinical standards.
- Evaluate patients in OPD and IPD and plan surgical interventions.
- Manage pre-operative assessment and post-operative care of surgical patients.
- Handle GI surgical emergencies and complications.
- Coordinate with anesthesiology, ICU and nursing teams for peri-operative care.
- Counsel patients and relatives regarding procedures, risks and outcomes.
- Maintain detailed operative notes and clinical documentation.
- Follow hospital protocols, infection control and ethical practices.
- Participate in audits, academic activities and quality improvement programs.
