- Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for X-ray procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and obtaining medical history or consent as required.
- X-Ray Procedure Execution: Operate X-ray equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images of specific areas of the body, such as bones, organs, or tissues.
- Image Quality Assurance: Ensure images meet diagnostic quality standards, adjusting settings on the X-ray machine as necessary to obtain clear and accurate results.
- Radiation Safety: Follow strict safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self, ensuring that all necessary precautions are taken.
- Patient Positioning: Position patients correctly for the X-ray procedure to capture the required images, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Collaboration with Radiologists: Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to assess and interpret the X-ray images for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Image Processing: Process and review X-ray images to check for quality, ensuring that they are clear, accurate, and ready for radiologist review.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot X-ray equipment, performing routine checks, calibration, and cleaning to ensure the machinery is functioning properly.
