Description

X-ray Imaging Procedures: Operate X-ray machines and other diagnostic imaging equipment to capture clear and accurate images of patients’ internal structures as prescribed by physicians.
Patient Preparation and Positioning: Prepare patients for X-ray procedures by explaining the process, ensuring their comfort, and positioning them correctly to obtain optimal images.
Equipment Maintenance and Calibration: Regularly inspect, maintain, and calibrate X-ray equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and producing high-quality images.
Radiation Safety Compliance: Follow strict safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and oneself from unnecessary radiation exposure by using protective gear and adhering to regulations.
Image Processing and Analysis: Develop or process X-ray films or digital images, ensuring that images are clear and of diagnostic quality before sending them to physicians for review.
Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient X-rays, including logging patient information, procedure details, and imaging results into electronic health systems.
Collaboration with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with radiologists, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of diagnostic images and relevant information.
Patient Care and Communication: Provide compassionate care to patients, especially those who are anxious or in pain, and effectively communicate any pre- or post-procedure instructions.
