Description

Perform X-ray imaging procedures on patients as ordered by physicians or healthcare providers, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
Position patients correctly and adjust X-ray equipment to obtain high-quality images of specific body parts, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to assess patient conditions and determine appropriate imaging techniques, exposures, and views to capture diagnostic information.
Maintain accurate patient records, documenting imaging procedures, patient information, and radiation exposure levels in electronic medical records (EMR) or imaging databases.
Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot X-ray equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards and manufacturer specifications.
Adhere to radiation safety protocols and procedures, including the use of protective lead aprons, shields, and collimators, to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and the public.
Assist with patient positioning, immobilization, and preparation for imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and reassurance to alleviate patient anxiety and facilitate cooperation.
Process and analyze X-ray images using digital imaging software, ensuring image quality, clarity, and diagnostic accuracy for interpretation by radiologists or physicians.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to review imaging findings, discuss patient cases, and facilitate timely reporting and communication of results.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education programs, and professional development activities to stay updated on advances in X-ray technology, imaging techniques, and safety standards.
