Description

Supervision: Oversee the daily operations of the hostel or residential facility, ensuring that rules, regulations, and safety protocols are followed by residents and staff.
Staff Management: Supervise and manage the hostel staff, including wardens, support staff, and housekeeping, ensuring effective communication, training, and performance.
Resident Welfare: Monitor the well-being of residents, addressing their concerns, and providing a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment.
Disciplinary Oversight: Implement and enforce hostel rules and regulations, managing discipline among residents and handling complaints or conflicts.
Security: Ensure that the hostel is secure by implementing necessary security measures, including surveillance systems, emergency exits, and supervision of entry/exit points.
Accommodation Management: Oversee the allocation and maintenance of rooms, ensure cleanliness and hygiene, and address any maintenance or repair needs in the hostel.
Health & Safety: Ensure the hostel complies with health and safety standards, conducting regular checks and overseeing first-aid training for staff.
Budget Management: Manage the hostel budget, including expenses related to maintenance, food, utilities, and supplies, while ensuring cost-effective operations.
Coordination: Liaise with the institution’s management, administration, and other departments to ensure smooth coordination of hostel activities and resolve any issues that arise.
Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of resident occupancy, incidents, complaints, and other necessary documentation, reporting regularly to higher authorities.
