Description

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of patients upon admission to the ward, including health history, vital signs, and physical examination, and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy, safety, and adherence to medication administration protocols and nursing standards of practice.
Monitor patients' condition and response to treatment, including vital signs, laboratory values, and clinical indicators, and communicate any changes or concerns to the healthcare team promptly.
Provide direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living, wound care, catheterization, IV therapy, and other nursing interventions, ensuring comfort, dignity, and respect for patients' rights and preferences.
Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care practices, providing information, support, and resources to promote patient understanding and participation in care.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members, including physicians, therapists, social workers, and ancillary staff, to coordinate patient care, facilitate discharge planning, and ensure continuity of care across the healthcare continuum.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing assessments, care interventions, patient responses, and other pertinent information in the electronic medical record, ensuring completeness and compliance with regulatory standards.
Adhere to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and ethical standards of nursing practice, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, families, and healthcare personnel.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety initiatives, and performance improvement activities within the ward, contributing ideas for process enhancements and best practices.
