Description

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to nursing staff assigned to the ward, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nursing assistants, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional growth and development.
  • Assign duties and responsibilities to nursing personnel based on their competencies, patient care needs, and workload, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and equitable distribution of workload among team members.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and one-on-one coaching sessions to provide feedback, recognize achievements, address concerns, and support staff development and retention.
  • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, orientation, and training of nursing staff, assisting with the onboarding process for new hires and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Oversee the delivery of patient care within the ward, ensuring adherence to nursing standards, protocols, and policies for patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, including physicians, therapists, pharmacists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, to coordinate patient care, develop treatment plans, and monitor patient progress.
  • Conduct regular patient rounds to assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and address immediate care needs, collaborating with staff to prioritize interventions and ensure timely and appropriate patient care.
  • Provide clinical support and expertise to nursing staff, assisting with complex patient cases, clinical assessments, and interventions, and serving as a resource for clinical questions and concerns.
