Description

Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to nursing staff assigned to the ward, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nursing assistants, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional growth and development.
Assign duties and responsibilities to nursing personnel based on their competencies, patient care needs, and workload, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and equitable distribution of workload among team members.
Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and one-on-one coaching sessions to provide feedback, recognize achievements, address concerns, and support staff development and retention.
Participate in the recruitment, hiring, orientation, and training of nursing staff, assisting with the onboarding process for new hires and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
Oversee the delivery of patient care within the ward, ensuring adherence to nursing standards, protocols, and policies for patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
Collaborate with healthcare providers, including physicians, therapists, pharmacists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, to coordinate patient care, develop treatment plans, and monitor patient progress.
Conduct regular patient rounds to assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and address immediate care needs, collaborating with staff to prioritize interventions and ensure timely and appropriate patient care.
Provide clinical support and expertise to nursing staff, assisting with complex patient cases, clinical assessments, and interventions, and serving as a resource for clinical questions and concerns.
