Description
- Assist nursing staff with activities of daily living (ADLs) for patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, while maintaining patient dignity and privacy.
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers, using proper lifting and transfer techniques to ensure patient safety and prevent injury.
- Transport patients within the facility for medical procedures, tests, or appointments as directed by nursing staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient rooms, common areas, and nursing stations, including cleaning patient beds, bedside tables, and medical equipment.
- Dispose of waste and linen according to established protocols, ensuring proper infection control and hygiene practices are followed.
- Stock and replenish supplies, such as linens, towels, and toiletries, in patient rooms and common areas as needed.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming, to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, such as door handles, handrails, and light switches, to prevent the spread of infection and maintain a safe environment.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards within the ward to appropriate personnel for resolution.
