Description
- Conduct preoperative assessments to evaluate the patient's medical history, current health status, and any potential risks related to anesthesia.
- Develop an anesthesia plan tailored to the patient's specific needs, taking into account the type of surgery, patient's medical history, and potential complications.
- Administer various types of anesthesia, including general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and local anesthesia, to ensure patient comfort and pain control during surgical procedures.
- Continuously monitor the patient's vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels, during surgery to ensure their safety and adjust anesthesia as needed.
- Respond to emergencies or complications during surgery, such as allergic reactions or changes in the patient's condition, and make rapid decisions to address these situations.
- Provide postoperative care, monitor the patient's recovery from anesthesia, and manage any postoperative pain.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the overall well-being of the patient during the perioperative period.
- In-depth knowledge of anesthesia techniques, pharmacology, and the physiology of critical care.
- Proficient in administering various forms of anesthesia and using related equipment.
