- Diagnosing illnesses: Examining animals to determine the cause of their illness or injury.
- Treating illnesses and injuries: Performing surgeries, dressing wounds, and prescribing medication.
- Vaccinating animals: Preventing diseases by administering vaccinations.
- Educating owners: Advising owners on nutrition, preventive care, and general health.
- Performing laboratory tests: Conducting tests on specimens to diagnose medical conditions.
- Performing diagnostic imaging: Conducting ultrasound tests and other diagnostic imaging.
- Documenting actions: Completing and updating forms, reports, and animal records.
