Description
Role & responsibilities
- Conduct regular assessments to identify skill gaps and training needs across various departments of the hospital (clinical, non-clinical, administrative). Ensure that training programs are tailored to these needs.
- Design and implement effective learning programs for staff, including orientation, ongoing professional development, compliance training, and leadership development. Ensure alignment with hospital goals and patient care standards.
- Deliver training sessions (both in-person and virtually) on various topics, such as medical protocols, patient care standards, soft skills, compliance, healthcare regulations, and technology systems.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development among hospital staff. Encourage self-directed learning and ensure employees have access to educational resources such as e-learning platforms, workshops, and seminars.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Adjust and improve training methods based on results and staff feedback.
- Work closely with department leaders to understand specific needs for training, offering tailored programs that address both clinical and non-clinical challenges.
- Identify and develop future leaders within the organization by offering specialized training programs focused on management skills, decision-making, and healthcare leadership.
- Manage the L&D budget, ensuring efficient use of resources for training activities, tools, and technologies that support hospital-wide education initiatives.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Education, or a related field.
- Certifications in Learning and Development, Training, or Human Resources
- 5+ years of experience in a Learning and Development or Training role, ideally within the healthcare sector.
- Experience in developing and implementing training programs for a diverse healthcare workforce
- Strong knowledge of hospital operations, healthcare regulations, and clinical practices.
- Ability to design and deliver engaging, impactful training programs for diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
- Project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership abilities, with a focus on motivation and team development.
- Adaptability to the dynamic and fast-paced environment of a healthcare setting.
