Description

Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including assigning duties, monitoring performance, and providing feedback and support as needed.
Coordinate and oversee patient care activities within the unit, ensuring that care plans are implemented effectively and patient needs are met.
Assess patient acuity and workload to determine staffing needs and make adjustments as necessary to ensure safe staffing levels.
Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing education, training, and support to facilitate professional development and growth.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, allied health staff, and ancillary departments, to ensure coordinated patient care.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and other activities to enhance patient outcomes and improve processes.
Monitor compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and evidence-based practices related to nursing care and patient safety.
Act as a liaison between nursing staff and nursing management, conveying information, addressing concerns, and advocating for staff needs.
Assist with staffing, scheduling, and other administrative tasks as needed to support unit operations.
Demonstrate commitment to the organization's mission, values, and goals through professional conduct and adherence to ethical standards.
