Roles and Responsibilities

• Assists in planning and organizing the new units of hospital
• Keeps records and reports of nursing services.
• Assisting and teaching junior nurses regarding patient care.
• Assisting and assigning nurses for training sessions.
• Ensures implementation of nursing protocols and policies.
• Maintains confidential report and records of nursing staff of her area.
• Participates in quality management/ care improvement programs.
• Organizes and plans nursing care activities of the respective units according to hospital policies and service needs.
• Coordinates and promotes relationship between nursing staff and other departments.
• Enforces and monitors adherence to standards of practice according to hospital rules, Regulations and policies.
• Submits specific performance information for staff evaluation to Nursing superintendent.
• Preparation of duty schedule of assigned area.
