Job Description

1. Diagnose and evaluate patients with suspected or confirmed cancers requiring surgical treatment.
2. Perform curative, palliative and reconstructive oncological surgeries across assigned specialties .
3. Conduct pre-operative staging, imaging review and surgical planning.
4. Provide comprehensive peri-operative care including post-operative monitoring and complication management.
5. Participate actively in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings for treatment planning.
6. Coordinate with medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology and radiology teams.
7. Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, surgical options, risks, benefits and prognosis.
8. Perform minimally invasive, laparoscopic or robotic oncologic surgeries as per training and availability.
9. Monitor patients during follow-up for recurrence, functional outcomes and survivorship care.
10. Maintain accurate medical records, operative reports and discharge summaries.
11. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control and quality standards.
12. Supervise and train residents, fellows and junior consultants.
13. Participate in academic activities, audits, research and continuing medical education.
