Description

Perform detailed assessments of patients with suspected or confirmed cancer diagnoses.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as biopsies, imaging studies (CT, MRI, PET scans), and blood tests to determine the nature and extent of cancer.
Perform oncological surgeries, including tumour resections, biopsy procedures, and reconstruction surgeries, with a focus on minimizing the spread of cancer and improving patient outcomes.
Specialize in the surgical management of cancers, including but not limited to breast, colorectal, gastrointestinal, skin (melanoma), liver, lung, and head and neck cancers.
Utilize advanced surgical techniques such as minimally invasive surgery, robotic-assisted surgery, and sentinel lymph node biopsy as appropriate.
Conduct preoperative evaluations to assess surgical risks and create individualized treatment plans.
Provide postoperative care, including monitoring recovery, managing complications, and coordinating rehabilitation or follow-up treatments.
Collaborate with medical oncologists and radiation oncologists to plan adjuvant therapies such as chemotherapy, radiation, or immunotherapy.
