Job Description

1. Perform surgical procedures related to gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases.
2. Conduct laparoscopic and minimal invasive surgeries as per clinical standards.
3. Evaluate patients in OPD and IPD and plan surgical interventions.
4. Manage pre-operative assessment and post-operative care of surgical patients.
5. Handle GI surgical emergencies and complications.
6. Coordinate with anesthesiology, ICU and nursing teams for peri-operative care.
7. Counsel patients and relatives regarding procedures, risks and outcomes.
8. Maintain detailed operative notes and clinical documentation.
9. Follow hospital protocols, infection control and ethical practices.
10. Participate in audits, academic activities and quality improvement programs.
