Description

Conduct preoperative evaluations, including medical histories, physical exams, and necessary diagnostic tests.
Review imaging studies, laboratory results, and patient medical histories to assist in surgical planning.
Educate patients about the surgery, what to expect, and preoperative instructions, including fasting, medication adjustments, and consent forms.
Assist the surgeon during surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, positioning patients, and ensuring the availability of necessary surgical instruments and supplies.
Perform tasks such as suturing, stapling, tissue manipulation, and helping with instrumentation during surgery under the supervision of the lead surgeon.
Take part in the implementation of surgical techniques, assisting in various types of surgeries, such as general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, cardiovascular surgery, or others as required.
Provide ongoing care for surgical patients in the hospital, including assessing vitals, performing physical exams, and checking for complications such as infection, bleeding, or organ dysfunction.
Follow up on lab results and imaging tests to track patient progress post-surgery and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
