Description

Oversee the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce carrying costs while ensuring sufficient supply to meet demand.
Coordinate logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure the efficient movement of goods throughout the supply chain.
Collaborate with sales and operations teams to forecast demand, develop production schedules, and plan inventory replenishment to meet customer needs while minimizing excess inventory and stock obsolescence.
Cultivate strong relationships with key suppliers, monitor supplier performance, and address issues such as quality problems, delivery delays, and pricing discrepancies to ensure reliability and consistency in the supply chain.
Identify and assess supply chain risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans to minimize the impact of disruptions such as natural disasters, geopolitical events, and supplier failures.
