Description

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify health needs, develop nursing care plans, and prioritize interventions based on patient acuity and condition.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with medication administration protocols.
Perform nursing procedures such as IV therapy, wound care, catheterization, and patient monitoring to support optimal patient outcomes.
Utilize clinical expertise to monitor patient vital signs, observe for changes in health status, and promptly intervene in emergencies or deteriorating conditions.
Provide specialized care as needed in areas such as critical care, medical-surgical units, pediatric care, or other specialty departments as per training and assignment.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans, discuss treatment options, and implement multidisciplinary care approaches.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, care provided, medications administered, and patient responses in electronic health records (EHR) or other documentation systems.
Adhere to institutional policies, regulatory guidelines, and standards of practice to ensure compliance and maintain patient confidentiality.
Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, treatments, and preventive care measures to promote patient understanding and compliance.
Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families, addressing concerns and facilitating coping mechanisms during hospitalization or recovery.
