Description
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with established nursing protocols, standards of practice, and physician orders.
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, including physical assessments, health histories, and psychosocial evaluations, to identify patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians, following medication administration policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Monitor patient responses to medications, assess for adverse reactions, and intervene promptly to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Perform clinical procedures and nursing interventions, such as wound care, catheterization, venipuncture, and IV therapy, with competence and adherence to infection control guidelines.
- Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during medical procedures, surgeries, and examinations, providing support and technical assistance as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about their health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies, empowering them to participate in their own care and make informed decisions.
- Provide health promotion and disease prevention education, counseling patients on lifestyle modifications, risk factors, and preventive measures.
