Description
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, monitoring, and implementation of nursing interventions to meet the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of patients across the lifespan.
- Administer medications, intravenous (IV) fluids, and treatments as prescribed by physicians, following medication administration protocols, safety guidelines, and best practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, coordinating treatment modalities, interventions, and patient education efforts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including nursing assessments, care plans, progress notes, and medication administration records, in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Provide patient and family education on disease management, medication regimen, self-care practices, and preventive health measures to promote patient understanding and empowerment in managing their health.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, assess patient condition, initiate appropriate interventions, and escalate care as necessary to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
