Description

Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the CCU, including monitoring vital signs, assessing patient status, and administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret cardiac telemetry data, recognizing and promptly responding to any changes or abnormalities.
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients in the CCU.
Perform advanced nursing interventions, such as arterial line insertions, central line care, and ventilator management, adhering to evidence-based practices and protocols.
Respond rapidly to emergency situations, including cardiac arrests, respiratory distress, and other critical incidents, following established protocols and algorithms.
Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, explaining procedures, treatment plans, and prognosis in a clear and compassionate manner.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment in electronic health records.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery and outcomes in the CCU.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, infection control protocols, and safety guidelines in the CCU environment.
Act as a resource and mentor for junior staff members, providing guidance and support in the delivery of critical care nursing interventions.
