Description

Handling of all types of Emergency requirements from a nursing perspective as per approved protocols.
Receive and hand over assigned patients as per organizational policy and procedure.
Carry out patient assessment and prepare a plan of care on admission, change of shifts, and or change in status/ condition of assigned patients.
Maintain accurate records of patient’s vital signs, results of investigations/tests carried out, response to treatment, etc., and inform attending physician as required.
Administer prescribed medication and treatment to patients.
Evaluate patient health during emergency room stays and watch for signs of improvement.
Consult other departments upon patient admission into the hospital.
Work collaboratively with doctors and staff to provide exceptional care.
Perform all requested diagnostic tests and obtain results.
Diagnose and develop treatment plans collaboratively with doctors and staff.
Manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritizing needs continually.
Comply with all legal and safety requirements at all times.
Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment.
Work at maximum efficiency without compromising the quality of care.
Abide by all hospital rules and regulations.
Act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure.
Monitor co-workers and voice concerns to minimize errors.
Provide follow-up care instructions to patients and make necessary referrals.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts.
