Description

Feed, bath and dress patients.
Take patients vital signs on the daily bases along with these also need to record patient’s weight, comfort level, urinary output, foods, liquid intake every day.
Serve meals (feeding), make beds and keep room clean.
Setup medical equipment and assist with some medical procedures.
Answer calls as well as nursing call/bells for help and observe change in patient’s condition or behavior.
Nursing call bells should be deactivated only after solving the patient’s problem.
Managing patient’s medications and diet under the direction of consultants and detecting symptom that require medical attention.
Maintaining confidentiality of patient’s personal information while having food in cafeteria or in the lifts etc.
Provide information related to visiting hours, patient’s status to visitors or callers.
Providing emotional support and explaining medication and treatment procedures to patients and their families.
Preparing patients for operations or surgeries, collecting specimens for laboratory etc.
Assisting in transportation of incapacitated patients to treatment units, operating rooms, or whenever they are to be taken for physiotherapy or diagnosis.
They help bedridden patients change their position to avoid the risk of bedsores, blood clots, and other issues by moving or sifting them periodically.
Should be aware about BLS as well as emergency and safety codes. Such as code blue, code red etc.
Using mobile phones during duty hour is strictly prohibited, if found using on duty, strict action will be taken on it.
Should be abiding by hospital’s rules and regulation and if failed to do so will be terminated without any prior notice.
If you fail to attend any medical emergency, it indicates medical negligence for which serious action will be taken against you, And suicidal attempt, accidents, Alcoholism, violence, trauma should be considered as an emergency and should attend it.
