Description

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of patients, including physical examinations, medical histories, and psychosocial assessments, to develop individualized care plans and identify patient needs and concerns.
Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patient responses and assessing for adverse reactions or complications, and providing appropriate interventions as needed.
Monitor and record vital signs, fluid intake and output, and other relevant patient data accurately and comprehensively, documenting observations in electronic health records (EHRs) and communicating pertinent information to the healthcare team.
Provide direct patient care, including wound care, IV therapy, catheterization, tracheostomy care, and other nursing interventions, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and dignity at all times.
Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement interdisciplinary care plans, coordinate patient care activities, and facilitate seamless transitions of care.
Educate patients and their families about their health conditions, treatment options, medications, and self-care techniques, promoting patient engagement, adherence to treatment regimens, and healthy lifestyle practices.
Assist with diagnostic procedures, surgical interventions, and other medical treatments, providing pre- and post-procedural care, monitoring patient responses, and addressing any immediate concerns or complications.
Respond to emergent situations, including cardiac arrests, respiratory distress, and other medical emergencies, following established protocols and providing prompt and effective interventions to stabilize patients and ensure their safety.
