Description
- Takes complete hand over of her /his assigned patient and Fill hand over checklist accurately.
- .Do Comprehensive and accurate nursing Assessment Of patients through Head to Foot examination.
- Assessing Patient condition and Planning and Implementing Patient care Plans.
- Provide Nursing care according to plan.
- Evaluates effectiveness of nursing care seeking Assistance and knowledge as necessary.
- Observing and recording patients Vital signs.
- Administer Intravenous Fluids and Medications as per orders.
- Follow Medication Rights while administering medicines.
- Follow Barrier Nursing while handling Infected Patients.
- Follow infection control care bundles Where applicable.
- Give demonstration on call bell and ask the patient to operate the bell to ensure the working condition.
- Attend the call bells without any delay and inform to appropriate person for any requirements.
- Ask second person to attend the call bell in case the assigned staff is busy with other patient.
- Ensures that the assigned patient’s bedside/Room is kept clean at all times.
- Ensures that all relevant reports of assigned patients are collected before the rounds.
- Accompanies consultants /SR on rounds.
- Ensures that information regarding any change of medication/treatments/procedure etc.; are informed to the primary consultant without delay.
- Returns all unused medications/consumables to stores before sending the billing.
- Ensure timely and accurate entries in Billing at all times.
- Checks all documentation (nurse’s note, charts, consents, and patient data) for its completeness.
- Receives all newly admitted patients and practices her /his skills in safe and efficient manner. Follows guidelines laid in protocols.
- Collects and sends all relevant documents duly completed to ensure speedy transfers or discharge process .Will accompany all critical &helpless patients.
- Performs nursing procedures as per set protocols in the department.
- Imparts relevant health education to patients and families and documents the same.
- Takes care of all dying patients, maintains seriousness and accompanies every dead body.
- Attends all in-service education programs and takes mandatory certification programs.
- Attends and follow all the Infection control programs and guidelines.
- Make sure the room is ready at all times to receive new admissions, give proper orientation to the patient and relatives regarding the hospital property,F&B services, hospital policy, etc.
