Description
- Provide compassionate and evidence-based nursing care to patients, assessing their needs, developing care plans, and implementing interventions to promote health, prevent illness, and manage acute or chronic conditions.
- Administer medications, treatments, and intravenous therapy as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy, safety, and adherence to medication protocols and regulatory standards.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, conducting ongoing assessments and documenting observations accurately in electronic health records (EHR) or paper charts.
- Educate patients and their families about their health conditions, treatment options, medication regimens, and self-care practices, empowering them to participate in their care and make informed decisions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff, to coordinate care, share information, and ensure continuity of care across shifts and settings.
