Cath Lab and CCU Staff Nurses, Urgent Requirement

• Undertakes clinical procedures that require dexterity and accuracy, including scrubbing for the full range of cardiac procedures in the Cardiac catheter lab.
• Assisting with IABP insertion, removal of femoral arterial / radial sheaths and the use of complex medicines in this clinical area.
• Respond to life-saving situations by performing CPR, in accordance to standard nursing protocols.
• Carry out following activities and prepare the patient accordingly.

o  Admission & Discharge Process.

o  Pharmacy Indents.

o  Cross Referrals.

o  Lab Investigations.

o  Service Booking.

o  Patient Bedside Medicine

o  Preparation for surgery

o  Assisting for procedures

• Set up and monitor medical equipment and devices such as cardiac monitors, oxygen delivery devices, transducers, and pressure lines and record patients’ responses in an accurate manner.
• Observe patients to determine signs of discomfort or changes in conditions and ensure that any significant observations are communicated to the Team leader/ Nurse Supervisor or doctor.
• Maintains effective communication with the patient and families and other health care team members.
• Inform patient and family about the care.
• Any delay or problem regarding patient care or procedure inform to Senior Staff nurse/Team Leader/Nurse supervisor or Shift Nurse Supervisor on duty.
• Any adverse event occurs in your unit should be informed immediately to Senior Staff nurse/Team Leader/Nurse supervisor or Shift Nurse Supervisor on duty rry out all bedside nursing activities and document appropriately in activity billing sheet and in HIS..
