Description

  • To follow assigned responsibilities given by nursing in charge
  • Carry out nursing assessment of each patient and maintaining records of assessment
  • Take care of all patients based on orders given by clinicians / RMOs (collection of specimens investigations and medications etc.)
  • Assist and report clinicians during their rounds in ward.
  • Maintain personal hygiene of patients
  • Maintain self hygiene and follow hand hygiene and good nursing practices.
  • Assist in admission and discharge of patients.
  • Maintaining good inter personal relations with patients and their families with good behavioral practices
  • Maintain good housekeeping with the help of housekeeping staff (mama / mavshi) in the ward
  • Follow biomedical waste disposal practices
  • Carry out good communication with clinicians, RMOs and patients
  • Maintain adequate supplies of medicines and disposables in the ward as defined
  • Maintain records of stocks of medicines and disposables in the ward
  • Checking of all equipment’s in the ward and keeping them in order with the help of maintenance department. Follow breakdown maintenance SOP.
  • Create safe environment in the hospital to prevent accidents and falls.
  • Communicate critical condition of patient to concerned clinician promptly. Maintain record of communciation made.
  • Records and reports nursing care, treatment, medicine correctly and promptly
  • Reports and records any losses and breakage in the unit
  • Gives orientation to patient and relatives about physical facilities, policy rules and regulations of the hospital.
  • Participates in pre and post management.
  • Implementation of Policies and Procedures of the hospital. Participation in mock drills
