Description
- Provide direct care to in-patients, including assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), administering medications, dressing wounds, and monitoring vital signs.
- Continuously monitor and assess patients' health status, recognizing any changes or deterioration in condition, and promptly reporting to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans prescribed by doctors and nurses, including therapies, interventions, and medical procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting care provided, observations, and any changes in the patient's condition.
- Safety and Comfort: Ensure that patients are safe and comfortable by addressing their needs, providing emotional support, and promoting a healing environment.
- Adhere to strict hygiene and infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections and maintain a clean and sanitized environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team, providing updates on the patient's progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Be prepared to respond quickly and efficiently in emergency situations, such as cardiac arrests, respiratory distress, or other medical emergencies.
- Help patients with mobility issues, providing assistance with walking, transfers, and the use of mobility aids (e.g., wheelchairs).
- Advocate for patients' rights and ensure that their preferences and needs are considered during their hospital stay.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to maintain the highest standard of care and patient safety.
- Stay updated on the latest medical knowledge and best practices, attending relevant training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
