Staff Nurse

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse with experience in Ophthalmology to support both Outpatient Department (OPD) and Operation Theatre (OT) activities.
• The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in ophthalmic procedures, strong clinical knowledge, and the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist ophthalmologists during OPD consultations and diagnostic procedures.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
• Provide assistance in ophthalmic surgeries in the OT (scrubbing, circulating, and instrument handling).
• Maintain sterility and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
• Handle ophthalmic instruments and equipment efficiently.
• Administer medications and eye drops as prescribed.
• Monitor patient condition pre- and post-procedure.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Provide patient education and post-operative care instructions.
• Coordinate with doctors and other healthcare staff for smooth workflow.

Requirements:

• Qualification: Degree in Nursing (GNM/B.Sc Nursing/PB BSc Nursing).
• Registration: Valid Nursing Registration (DNC required).
• Experience: Minimum [X] years of experience in an Ophthalmology setup(OPD/OT).
• Strong knowledge of ophthalmic procedures and instruments.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
