<ul><li>Perform initial assessments of pediatric patients, including medical history, physical exams, and ordering necessary investigations.</li><li>Assist in the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic pediatric illnesses.</li><li>Provide medical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings under the supervision of senior consultants.</li><li>Manage common pediatric conditions such as respiratory infections, gastrointestinal illnesses, asthma, and allergies.</li><li>Monitor patient progress and participate in follow-up care, ensuring that treatment plans are effectively implemented.</li><li>Provide care to hospitalized children, including the management of acute cases in pediatric wards and the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).</li><li>Perform routine procedures such as intravenous cannulation, lumbar punctures, and arterial blood gas sampling.</li><li>Monitor vital signs, medications, and progress of admitted pediatric patients.</li><li>Attend ward rounds with senior consultants and follow their directions for patient management.</li></ul>
