Description

Provide direct medical care to neonates admitted to the NICU, including premature babies and newborns with medical or surgical conditions.
Perform clinical assessments, including physical exams, monitoring vital signs, and evaluating the progress of newborns under supervision.
Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans for neonates, including respiratory support, nutrition management, infection control, and medication administration.
Participate in the resuscitation and stabilization of newborns in the delivery room, especially in high-risk births.
Respond to neonatal emergencies in the NICU and coordinate with senior staff to ensure timely interventions.
Be involved in neonatal resuscitation and advanced life support procedures, including endotracheal intubation and umbilical catheterization.
Perform necessary neonatal procedures, including placing central lines, intubation, lumbar punctures, arterial line insertions, and chest tube placement under supervision.
Administer intravenous fluids, medications, and nutritional support to neonates, ensuring accurate dosages and monitoring responses.
