Description
- Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients with complex medical conditions, ensuring comprehensive care.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with senior consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and manage critical care equipment.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, residents, and interns, providing guidance and support in clinical practices and procedures.
- Conduct training sessions and educational activities for the critical care team, focusing on best practices and updated protocols.
- Perform or assist with advanced critical care procedures, including intubation, central line insertion, and advanced cardiovascular support, under the supervision of senior consultants.
- Ensure the safe and effective use of medical technology and equipment in the ICU.
- Coordinate with other departments, including nursing, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy, to ensure integrated patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients’ families regarding treatment plans, progress, and prognosis, providing support and information.
