Description

Manage the daily operations of the pharmacy department, including prescription dispensing, medication therapy management, inventory management, and staff supervision.
Provide pharmaceutical care to patients, including medication counseling, therapy monitoring, medication reconciliation, and patient education on drug interactions, adverse effects, and compliance.
Oversee medication ordering, procurement, storage, and distribution processes, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of medications to patients and healthcare providers.
Supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure quality and efficiency in pharmacy operations.
Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, and accreditation standards, including those set forth by the Board of Pharmacy, DEA, CMS, and other regulatory agencies.
Collaborate with healthcare providers, interdisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders to optimize medication therapy, resolve medication-related problems, and improve patient outcomes.
Participate in medication safety initiatives, adverse drug event reporting, and quality improvement projects to enhance medication safety, reduce medication errors, and promote best practices in medication use.
Maintain accurate pharmacy records, documentation, and quality assurance reports, including medication dispensing records, controlled substance logs, and performance metrics, in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
