Description
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors for raw materials and packaging materials based on quality, price, reliability, and delivery terms.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and favorable supply agreements.
- Place purchase orders and track order status to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and packaging materials to ensure adequate stock availability for production requirements while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Conduct inventory analysis and forecasting to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and prevent stockouts.
- Coordinate with quality assurance personnel to establish and implement quality control measures and standards for incoming raw materials and packaging materials.
- Conduct inspections and tests of incoming materials to verify compliance with quality specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Address quality issues, deviations, and non-conformities through corrective and preventive actions.
