Description

Provide urgent and emergent care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department (ED) with various medical conditions, injuries, and traumas.
Perform rapid and accurate patient assessments, triage patients based on acuity levels, and prioritize care to ensure timely intervention for critically ill or injured patients.
Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff within the Emergency Department, including Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Nursing Assistants.
Supervise and coordinate nursing care delivery, ensuring adherence to standards of practice, policies, and procedures.
Mentor and support staff in the development of clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and professional growth.
Perform emergency procedures commonly performed in the ED, such as intubation, central line placement, chest tube insertion, and rapid sequence induction, following established protocols and guidelines.
Assist physicians and other healthcare providers in performing emergent interventions and procedures as needed.
Administer medications intravenously, intramuscularly, and through other routes as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosing, compatibility, and patient safety.
Monitor patients for adverse reactions to medications and intervene promptly as needed.
Advocate for patients' rights, preferences, and needs, ensuring their voices are heard and respected throughout their ED visit.
