Description
- Conduct microbiological testing on a variety of samples, including raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and environmental samples, using aseptic techniques and standard microbiological methods.
- Perform microbial identification, enumeration, and characterization using techniques such as culture-based methods, biochemical assays, molecular biology techniques, and microscopy.
- Develop and validate microbiological testing methods in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Review and interpret test results, analyze data, and prepare technical reports summarizing findings for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality assurance, and production, to address microbiological issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and facilities in proper working condition, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions related to microbiological testing and compliance.
- Train and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise in microbiology techniques and procedures.
