Description
- Develop, implement, and monitor the company’s health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential health and safety hazards in the workplace.
- Ensure that safety protocols are followed and that safety equipment is readily available and properly used.
- Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents, and report findings to management with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and emergency drills to assess the effectiveness of safety measures and practices.
- Ensure that safety signs and notices are placed throughout the facility to remind staff of safety procedures and protocols.
- Respond to safety incidents or environmental emergencies, providing first aid when needed and directing the incident response team as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of workplace injuries, illnesses, accidents, and environmental incidents.
- Prepare reports on safety performance, accident investigations, and corrective actions taken, presenting findings to senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety and environmental performance, and work toward continuous improvement.
