Job Description

1. Diagnose and manage patients with gastrointestinal tract disorders requiring surgical intervention, including liver, pancreas, stomach, intestines, and colorectal conditions.
2. Plan and perform elective and emergency GI surgeries, including minimally invasive and laparoscopic procedures.
3. Conduct pre-operative assessments, intra-operative management, and post-operative care, including monitoring for complications.
4. Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and ICU teams for comprehensive patient care.
5. Participate in outpatient consultations, inpatient rounds, and emergency GI surgery cases.
6. Maintain accurate surgical records, treatment plans, and patient follow-up documentation.
7. Stay updated on latest GI surgical techniques, clinical guidelines, and research developments.
8. Mentor and train residents, fellows, and junior surgeons in GI surgical procedures.
