Job Description

1. Lead the diagnosis, surgical planning, and management of patients with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular conditions.
2. Perform complex cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries, including bypass, valve replacement, and aortic procedures.
3. Supervise and mentor junior surgeons, residents, and allied health staff in the department.
4. Manage preoperative and postoperative care, including ICU rounds and long-term follow-up.
5. Collaborate with cardiology, anesthesiology, critical care, and nursing teams for comprehensive patient management.
6. Interpret diagnostic tests including echocardiography, angiography, CT/MRI, and cardiac catheterization findings.
7. Ensure adherence to surgical protocols, safety standards, and quality care guidelines.
8. Participate in clinical audits, departmental governance, teaching, and continuous professional development.
