Job Description

1. Diagnose and manage patients requiring cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical interventions.
2. Perform complex surgeries including CABG, valve repair/replacement, congenital heart defect corrections, and major vascular reconstructions.
3. Evaluate pre-operative patients with detailed clinical assessments, investigations, and risk stratification.
4. Manage post-operative care in ICU and wards, ensuring optimal recovery and complication prevention.
5. Collaborate closely with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and other specialists for multidisciplinary care.
6. Handle surgical emergencies such as aortic dissections, trauma, and acute cardiac events.
7. Mentor and supervise junior surgeons, residents, and surgical trainees in the department.
8. Maintain accurate surgical records, operative notes, and ensure adherence to clinical protocols.
