Sr. Consultant/Consultant-Heart Transplant

Patient Evaluation:

• Conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments to determine transplant eligibility.
• Review medical histories, diagnostic tests, and imaging studies to assess organ compatibility.
• Collaborate with the transplant team to evaluate potential risks and benefits.

Surgical Procedures:

• Perform organ transplant surgeries, including kidney, liver, heart, lung, and other solid organ transplants.
• Utilize advanced surgical techniques and technologies to ensure successful transplant outcomes.
• Coordinate with the surgical team, anesthesiologists, and support staff during procedures.

Donor Organ Procurement:

• Participate in the evaluation and retrieval of donor organs from living or deceased donors.
• Ensure proper preservation and transportation of organs to the transplant center.
• Collaborate with organ procurement teams and regulatory agencies.

Postoperative Care:

• Monitor patients closely in the postoperative period to assess graft function and detect complications.
• Adjust immunosuppressive medications to prevent organ rejection.
• Collaborate with intensivists, transplant coordinators, and other specialists in post-transplant care.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration:

• Collaborate with nephrologists, hepatologists, cardiologists, pulmonologists, and other specialists in the transplant team.
• Participate in transplant selection committees and case discussions.
• Coordinate with transplant coordinators for patient management and follow-up care.
